Bernard S. Gomes is a highly educated internationally trained lawyer from India, who holds a B.A.(Hons.), LL. B, and a Paralegal Ed. from Humber College, ON. He is the Founder & Director of EMIGRATE Immigration Solutions, which has its headquarters in India and operates in Canada.
Bernard immigrated to Canada as a NCA (National Committee on Accreditation- Federation of Law Societies of Canada) candidate for Barrister & Solicitor licensing with the Law Society of Ontario.
He decided to specialize in immigration law alongside his major in criminal litigation and become licensed in Canada due to the prevalence of fraud and misinformation in the industry. His goal is to provide a trustworthy platform for students, temporary and permanent migrants, and offer proper guidance to help them start their new lives with confidence.
Bernard provides services in English, Bengali, Punjabi, Hindi, and Nepali. He is also the Founder of Foreign Trained Lawyers Network & LegallySet, which supports internationally trained lawyers in Canada.
In his free time, Bernard advocates for the voice of the international students in Canada and provides free advice to immigrants facing landlord and tenancy disputes. With previous experience working with a highly respected immigration lawyer in the Greater Toronto Area, Bernard has a thorough understanding of immigration law. As an immigrant himself, he is well-equipped to empathize with the challenges that people face during the immigration process.
